comes the rain

It seems appropriate with all that is happening in our own country this week- -

Ike blowing down coastal Texas--
Stocks going way down-
people feeling way down-
the dignity of this presidential election going down-

that our thirsty desert is heavily cloud filled and covered with small pockets of rain coming down.

As I shot this image a steam of light illuminated a pocket of rain fall over the southern mountains at the Joshua tree entrance to the Joshua Tree National Park.
It was completely dry where I stood, and remained so during the entire , slow, storm.
