The cold Santa Ana Winds are a blowing wildly through are now almost barren Mojave desert.As this glorious season changes, I too am blowing toward the right coast

almost fall and im back in school

Here in the mojave , mother nature is showing signs of Fall

though the 3 days of under 80 degree temperatures, were quickly replaced by over 100 degrees,again-ugh.

Fortunately, during one of my random follow the links creative searches, I came upon an amazing school!

Yes an online school filled with wonderful women, all passionate about mixed media art. Drawing,journaling, painting, layering,experimenting, and most importantly, encouraging eachother in every way possible.

The teacher? One Miss Suzi Blu,

an accomplished artist whos teaching videos , are beyond compare!

You must visit Les Petite Academy, and discover the amazement there!

 

PS. 10 days and ive gone from not being able to draw a circle , to almost drawing a pretty nice face!

See, its never to late to go back to school!

Otherwise known as the "Mojave Green",this rattlesnake is propagates in large numbers in the Joshua Tree area of the Mojave Desert
It has the most lethal venom of all rattlesnakes in North America.

I will never forget "my close encounter with this poisenous snake" two sumers ago and hope that they remain cameflouged and to themselves all of my desert days.

Larry the Lizard is Back

Once it hits 90 or above Larry appears in the same Place on the side porch for his daily sunning.Last year we got familiar with each other and would have little talks. Today I did all the talking and shooting while Larry hung out.

This is one of old Larry the Lizards offspring sunning himself.

Sadly Larry is gone following the exterior painting of our home.

I did not even think about him living in his hiding place behind a shelf on the side porch, prior to the painters moving everything around and spraying paint.

I miss my daily routine of tip toeing over to his side of the porch in hopes of peeking around and seeing him hanging on the stucco.

I am sure he scurried away the moment he heard noise, as he always has done just that- scurried behind the shelf in response to the slightest sound.

I'm so sorry Larry!
